About Our Founder, Joy Yablonsky
Joy Yablonsky has led and managed hundreds of search assignments for a variety of universities and colleges, in-house legal departments, law firms and nonprofit organizations over the past 18 years. Before founding Armington Recruiting in 2007, she worked for one of the top executive search firms in the world conducting senior level searches across several functions in the Healthcare, Higher Education, Nonprofit and Pharmaceutical sectors. She has developed a special expertise in several areas of executive search with emphasis on Higher Education, Nonprofit and Legal. Joy has successfully recruited candidates for senior executives, top externally funded researchers and leadership roles with public and private universities and nonprofits. Her assignments include extensive legal search for law firms and corporations.
She began her search career as a Founding Director of the Philadelphia office of a national legal search firm and was recognized for her numerous legal placements and strategic marketing that led to an exclusive staffing arrangement with a Fortune 500 company. Subsequently, Joy was the Lateral Attorney Recruiter for Dechert LLP, one of the largest international law firms in the world and hired eminently qualified attorneys and medical consultants to defend mass tort pharmaceutical cases along with top drawer attorneys to handle complex transactions firm wide for Corporate and Securities, Finance/Real Estate and Intellectual Property.
A graduate of Temple University, she earned her BA in Business Administration. In the spirit of giving back, Joy supports advancing the future careers of today’s students by presenting career workshops on campuses – pro bono. She has worked with many groups of students across various academic curricula including Healthcare Policy, Biology and Law. Joy has also served on several committees for nonprofit organizations and participates in professional associations.
